Xiaomi announced HyperOS update for the Redmi Note 13 5G series in India

HyperOS introduces "comprehensive refactoring" for optimized performance on all devices, promising smoother gameplay with better power consumption. Multiple optimizations have been applied to the in the underlying technology stack to further enhance the devices' capabilities. Task scheduling is also improved, maximizing performance by distributing tasks across multiple computing units.

On April 19th Xiaomi announced the rollout of HyperOS 1.0 for the Redmi Note 13 5G series in India - namely, the Redmi Note 13 5G, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. These devices launched last year running Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top.

You get an all-new personalized lock screen, a redesigned Control Center without labels on the icons, interactive notifications, new app icons and animations, a new File Manager app with new categorizations, and new weather animations.

As usual with all such rollouts, expect this one to go out in stages and thus to only reach all devices in question in at least a few days, if not a few weeks. The important thing is that the ball's rolling now, as they say.
